We could not have asked for a better week to explore the Sweet Side of the Tri-Cities. Believe us, tasting our way through the local bakeries, ice cream parlours, candy stores and doughnut shops is a tough job… but someone’s gotta do it!
And we are happy to sacrifice our waist lines to bring you the best of the Tri-Cities.

Located right in downtown Port Coquitlam, Matteo’s Italian cafe serves incredible artisan gelato! Their carefully crafted gelato is meant to please your palate, with delicious flavours including: strawberry cheesecake, chocolate peanut butter, and pistachio. Matteo's Gelato is the perfect place to grab a treat on a hot summer day!
Rocky Point Ice Cream - Port Moody
In the beautiful Rocky Point Park, you can find Rocky Point Ice Cream, a family-owned ice cream shop! The shop works closely with local businesses to source as many products as possible, locally. With over twenty flavours, there is something for everyone! Stop by Rocky Point Ice Cream and grab a scoop before kayaking or paddle boarding right across the street. And don’t forget to bring your pup — they also serve their famous K9 Doggie Ice Cream!
Marble Slab Creamery - Coquitlam
With a variety of flavours and toppings, Marble Slab sure is sweet! Their handmade ice cream can be paired with tasty dipped cones with peanut, skor, sprinkles, or chocolate. With a mission to provide a place for locals to come together, Doughnut Love offers a variety of doughnuts, with featured monthly flavours to fit the season! Flavour options may include: blueberry fritter, chocolate dip, birthday cake, banana bread, and chocolate chip cookie dough! Visit them Wednesday to Friday for delicious handcrafted doughnuts that are baked fresh daily.

Located in Port Moody, Gabi & Jules is a family-owned bakery specializing in pies!
